Blackwood Environmental Consulting is an Edinburgh-based firm offering a range of carbon management, policy and research services. With a business ethos firmly rooted in long-term environmental sustainability and a positive vision of a healthy low carbon future, our  experienced staff can offer a range of consultancy services in two main fields: carbon management, and environmental policy and research.

Carbon management services
Legislation recently passed by the Scottish Parliament commits Scotland to achieving 80% reductions in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, with an interim target of up to 42% by 2020. Meeting these targets will need action by organisations across all parts of the Scottish economy and society to actively assess, manage and reduce their own carbon footprint.

We can help your organisation to do this by assessing your current carbon emissions and working with you to develop a coherent carbon management plan that will save money, comply with all relevant regulations, and help to safeguard our environment for future generations. Scotland's move towards a successful low-carbon economy will not be quick or easy, but Blackwood Environmental Consulting can help you to manage the transition as smoothly as possible.

This web-based tool has been developed by Carbon Masters, and can assist communities to establish an accurate baseline of carbon emissions arising from the lifestyle choices of community members.
